Principal IT experience:
My interest stemmed from use, at college in mid-1970s, of acoustic coupled dial-up access with teletypes to various educational mainframes. My home computers have moved through a Sinclair ZX81, an Acorn Archimedes to Dell PCs. The first Dell 133 is now relegated to back-up on a home network with an H-P Pavillion and a Dell 8300 linked by an ADSL router / hub.
In addition to home development of CAD and general office systems, I have FamilyTreeMaker for my genealogy interests, I run Sonar music sequencing software - and try and keep up with Pam & Francis on the various music programs they have.
For web development I use WebEdit Pro and CuteHTML for hand coding, sometimes FrontPage or HotMetal. For graphics editing I run a Epson scanner and edit in PaintShopPro.
Fitzroy Robinson Limited 2000 to date
I had taken a decision on my priorities between architecture and IT before joining Fitzroy Robinson and hope to keep IT more in the background in future. Events have a habit of over-taking ones best intentions though!
